It never ceases to amaze me that irrespective of how long you research a subject you keep finding new sources of information. I have just read an article about the Center for Mature Consumer Studies that is at Georgia State University. I thought I knew most of the academic and corporate research centers, specialising in 50+ marketing, but this one is new to me.
‘Established in 1987 population its mission is to generate and disseminate information that can help organizations improve the efficiency of their marketing activities and enhance the well-being of older adults’ The Center publishes a series of books (Marketing to Older Consumers, Marketing Strategies for the Mature Market, Gerontographics (Wow what a name!) and Buying Habits of Baby Boomers and Their Parents). It also lists a series of interesting looking 50+ marketing reports. Definitely worth a visit.
