Seniors are the most spam-savvy online demographic

Symantec, a supplier of anti-spam software, has found that seniors (I think these are defined as the 60+) are the most cautious age group at responding to SPAM. The press release gives a few facts and figures but the reticence of older people to respond to an unknown e-mail is the main finding.

What is interesting to know, and what this survey did not address, is how this affects their receptiveness to e-mail marketing. I suspect it means they are a difficult group to target.
