secondlifestyle. Am I missing something

A new site has been launched that does - well I am not really sure.

The opening statement on the site says " In years gone by it was generally thought that most of us had ‘three score years and ten’ on this mortal coil. In the 21st century, life just starts to get interesting past middle age. This is the dawn of ‘A New Age;’ we are all living longer today, but living is not about just existing – far from that – living is about a new kind of freedom and lifestyle that comes with the second stage of our growth as human beings."

Maybe I had one or two many glasses of wine last evening but I have read through the site and for the life of me cannot understand what the company does. Clearly somebody has spent a few bucks on creating the site but I just don't get it. Sorry.

I have just read some more details about the company. The brand was soft-launched in South Africa, but will debut in the UK in September. A magazine will be published by Conde Nast, with a 100,000 print run. It will be priced £3.95. A radio station will launch next year.

Other businesses being planned include gated residential developments in Spain, Portugal and South Africa, and financial and health services.

This is a quote from another blogger (D'log)about the site. " Secondlifestyle have just spent two years researching this 'new' population segment, to launch a new web-site this weekend. It's "Flash only". Flash not turned on? - no admittance. Once you get inside, the typeface is a microscopic 7-point Verdana. You can almost hear the over-50s muttering, "Which young prat designed this, then?".
