Campus Continuum

This company focuses solely on developing, marketing, and operating university-branded 55+ Active Adult Communities that are tightly integrated with their academic hosts.
Campus Continuum offers older people: “One-stop shopping for stimulating intellectual, cultural, social, volunteer, part-time work and wellness opportunities--on and off campus, within an intergenerational setting”.

The academic institution gets recurring revenues and an equity interest in the projects, depending on their contribution to the venture. Contributions can include any combination of land, access to courses and campus events, access to alumni and other prospective residents and, optionally, investment dollars.

There is a well defined group of older people looking to retire or buy a second property near to or on a campus. This company looks like it can help colleges make some cash out of this requirement. Great idea. Dick Stroud
