Baby boomers enjoy 'dream' lives

The BBC is renowned for its biased news reporting. It has its own ‘take’ on everything from ‘big business', the US, the troubles in Middle East to global warming. I am now getting the feeling that it has taken against the Baby Boomers.

Clearly it doesn’t like employing them since less than 5% of its employees are 55+. The corporation is currently in the middle of row of its demoting a presenter as she reached the bewitching age of 55.

The title of this blog posting appeared on the BBC’s web site.

I have no idea about the research that is referenced (I have requested a copy from the company involved) but it is the selective reporting by the BBC that bothers me.

You expect eye grabbing headlines from the mainstream media. The BBC should be adding some value of balanced reporting. Then again, why should the Baby Boomers be any different to the biased nature of its other reporting? Dick Stroud
