The next time somebody asks you about Baby Boomers, ask them to define what they mean. They might be smart and say: “somebody born between 1946 – 1964”, in which case they mean (probably inadvertently) a US Boomer.
If they are talking about Europe then it is clear that they have no idea what the question means. Look at this chart showing the birth rate in three European countries between 1945 and 1999. The UK had a couple attempts at a Baby Boom, Italy had a minor Boomer-blip and the Netherlands had a Boomer-plateau.
