Don Tapscott has been around since I was first involved in the birth of the Web. He wrote some really interesting stuff about the power of the Web to change behaviour.
This article in Business Week is all about how: “the Web savvy among the Net Generation (the boomers' kids) will change how goods are bought and sold.”
Of course there is an element of truth in what he says but I think he has missed the fact that much of the stuff he refers to as being in the domain of “Net Gen” is just as much a part of world of the Web literate 50-plus. Often a lot more so.
Sorry, but I think this tagging and differentiation of generation by their Web prowess is very much a yesterday’s argument. Dick Stroud
