Clegg is overdosing on stupidity pills

I have just seen a headline that the leader of the Lib Dems, an insignificant political party that just happens to be exercising some influence on UK policy, is proposing that children, who are finding it hard to buy a house, should be able to get a lending hand by their parents releasing 25% of their pensions to help them out.

I just looked at the newspaper comment and the commentary on the web sites. I have never seen an idea that has drawn more hysterical laughter from all sides of the political spectrum.

Of course the idea will never translate into a reality, but here we have a guy that should have some idea about the basics of economics making such a ridiculous proposition. If anybody needed convincing that Clegg was overdosing on stupidity pills or just plain daft then this suggestion must convince them.
