Personal Well-being in the UK - how happy are you?

The ONS has just published its " Personal Well-being in the UK, 2012/13".

I think the graphic says it all. It is all downhill from 35 with a big dip between 45-54 and then things improve. This pattern keeps emerging in the UK and the US.

The Sandwich Generation in the middle get it from above and below (child and parents) whilst worrying about their own retirement and trying to amass enough cash.

In later years the physical problems of getting old start to dominate.

So there you are - your life in a simple graph. I just hope you marketers are taking this change in outlook into account in the way you pitch to these different ages. Dick Stroud
