Another excellent ad from L'Oreal - this time with Helen Mirren

I guess it is no secret that Helen Mirren is the most 'popular' lady with men of a certain age - not that far removed from mine. Clearly, she also connects with women by the look of this new ad from L'Oreal Paris.

Twiggy, another lady from the same era, made a big impact on M&S's ads and you can see why L'Oréal Professionnel selected her for their beauty products.

You know what, I think L'Oreal is getting the hang of this age advertising stuff.

If you haven't already seen their ad with Hugh Laurie , you should.

I think the beauty/personal grooming industry could learn a lot of lessons for seeing how L'Oreal's ads have evolved - Well done.

If you want to read some more about what they are doing then this is a good start.

Coming back to Helen Mirren.  Peter Greenaway's 'The cook the thief his wife and her lover' is, in my view, one of her best early films, along with the Long Good Friday.   Dick Stroud
