Geriatric medicine will be big business - foreign trained doctors are the ones who will benefit

In the US, only 15% of the doctors and nurses graduating in 2016 took at least one elective in geriatric medicine. Treating older people is not a popular option amongst medics, especially younger ones. This chart reinforces the point, showing that geriatric medicine has the highest number of foreign trained doctors.

Maybe, these foreign trained doctors are being smart - really smart. Dick Stroud
