Three things from the US and one from the UK

No 1. If you are having difficulties reading items in the Archives it is because the company that runs this blogging service (Google) is having a few technical difficulties!

No 2. When Business Week magazine says that something is doing really well it is a good sign that it is about to fail. An article in the current issue ‘The Comeback Kids’ describes how E-Business ‘has returned with a vengeance’. What is interesting is the 25 people they profile as the movers and the shakers of this revival have an average age of 50+. Gone are the days of the bright young things. I guess there is still hope for me yet.

No 3. US Today has never struck me as something you read for its deep insightful articles. Well the piece it wrote ‘Age is what we're making it’ made me reconsider. The theme of the article is the way that chronological age is no longer of much use in predicting behaviour. For collectors of new marketing jargon there are a couple of new terms ‘generational blur’ and ‘KGOY — kids getting older younger’. A lot of the examples are about the 50+ but the same principle applies to the young. Or, should I say young (age) or young (perception).

No 4. Ever wondered what the RSS web address in the title of this blog refers to? All is now revealed in an article I have recently published called RSS- boring name, brilliant idea. Yours to download.
