According to a new report, published by The Freedonia Group, the anti-aging industry is set to expand at compound growth rate of nearly 9% though until 2009. This translates to it becoming a $30 Billion plus market in the US in 2009.
The press release announcing this fact (and details of very expensive report that will explain the structure of the market) contains some fantastic phrases.
The market growth will be driven by people seeking “health maintenance” and “appearance enhancing” products. The big sellers are going to be “memory improvement, vision care and prostate care products”.
I cannot help but wonder how these products will be described in the signs above supermarket isles. Hopefully the vision care products will have very large labels and the memory improvement potions will have labels that keep repeating themselves.
Needless to say the baby boomer generation is forecast to buying all of this stuff in the trolley cart full.
Joking aside, I suspect there is a lot of truth in the report’s predictions - sorry but have I already said that?? Dick Stroud www.20plus30.com
