The LifeHolder web site describes itself as offering a: "one-stop to offer help and advice from qualified and experienced solicitors on a whole range of matters includeing - making a will, inheritance tax planning, living wills, enduring power of attorney and many more legal services that are relevant to older people".
Lifeholder provides solicitors with an opportunity to add value to and to differentiate their product offerings to the older age group.
Solicitors firms become licensees of LifeHolder and are then supplied Information Packs and other materials, in their own logos and colours for distribution, promotion, marketing to their own clients and prospective clients. They are also linked from the LifeHolder website (there is a search feature that uses postcode to locate your nearest solicitor).
This is a neat business idea to provide solicitors (who in many ways provide a commodity service) with some value add and a market focus (older people).
It is early days for the venture – I wish them well. Dick Stroud
