Microsoft and GE start a healthcare joint venture

No doubt driven on by the carrot to beat all carrots (more older, ill people) Microsoft and General Electric have started a joint venture called that Caradigm - not Cardigan - Caradigm.

Starting sometime in the first half of this year and employing about 750 people, Cardigan  - sorry, Caradigm will have another go at making money out of dragging the healthcare industry out of the era of leeches.

Good luck. Google, decided to give up, Microsoft has already had a go and failed, so lets hope it has learnt some good lessons. The first one it should revisit is the daft name of the venture. This article in Business Week is worth reading. Dick Stroud
