Intergenerational fairness is simply the latest cover for envy

I have had this cartoon on file an keep meaning to blog about it. It is from the Spectator.

I am not sure if 'envy' is the right word. I think it more that simple minds need somebody or something to blame. The young don't have work - must be the fault of the old. The young don't have houses  - must be the fault etc etc etc.

It is disturbing that so many people cannot look beyond this simple notion. Good cartoon. Dick Stroud
