What's up with M&S?

Way back I met a man with a memorable name  - Paul McCartney - when he was working for Saga.

Paul is now Managing Director of G-Force Communications and recently contacted me with an item that appeared on his company's blog about M&S and suggesting why it seems to have 'lost the plot' when dealing with its older customers.

For a while - at the start of the Twiggy advertising campaign  - the company seemed to be well in tune with its older customers. That was then and now is now. In difficult trading conditions, if I were M&S I would be dusting off my marketing plans marked 'old consumers' and seeing what is going wrong. Dick Stroud
