What do the 65+ do for a living - they are self employed

The latest data from the ONS looks, amongst other things, at the rate of self employment in the UK and how that splits by age.

As you can see a lot of the 65+ are classed as being in that group.

What worries me is does self-employed really mean un-employed?

Are we kidding ourselves that we have more employment than we really do?

I am sure we are but I have no idea if we are talking about 5% or 50%. Dick Stroud
