Work in retirement. Once version of the truth

Yet more research about the American experience of retirement. Not that this adds a great deal to our knowledge about 'retirement' but it has lots of numbers and charts.

Why do people work after 'retirement' and what is it in the first place?  This report suggests that it is because they want to. I can point you to other studies saying exactly the opposite.

Guess it depends on the questions the researchers ask and how honest the respondents are.

I think the truth is increasingly moving towards having to work rather than wanting to work. Dick Stroud
