SeniorWatch - Monitoring Study

SeniorWatch is a research project funded by the European Union and must be one of its best kept secrets. Already they have conducted a huge amount of research, all of which is available from their web site. Really worth a look - don't be put off by the .de domain, it is in English.

It aims at better understanding the market dynamics of Information Society Technology (IST) products and services relevant for older (and older disabled) people. Various research methods are being applied. A European-wide survey of some 10.000 citizens aged 50 years and over,
a Europe-wide survey of 500 decision makers in organisations providing home care, case studies illumiating best practice with regard to IST applications with relevance for older people.

Data and information gathered are being analysed and integrated into a comprehensive European overview. This allows a comparision with the situation in the USA and Japan respectively. Finally, policy recommendations are being formulated on how an optimal match between demand for and supply of IST can be facilitated. " www.seniorwatch.de
