Maddy Dychtwald has recently published a book called ‘Cycles’. You might have heard of her husband (Ken) who wrote ‘Age Power’ and ‘Age Wave’ and who founded the think tank, Age Wave. As you might have guessed from the titles they are interested in 'age'.
I was reading a review of the book that highlighted some Dychtwald conclusions. She believes people will:
‘increasingly lead lifestyles in which age has become irrelevant but which is still governed by wealth, health, and education ’
‘adopt a lifestyle of cyclic monogamy and careers’
‘take self-responsibility for their personal physical and mental health’
Nothing very thought proving amongst these conclusions. The reviewer ends with this lovely bit of boilerplate ‘However, for the most part, Dychtwald presents a thought provoking, well-reasoned argument. Her book is packed with anecdotes, making for a lively read’
Before buying it I suggest looking at the much more critical review on the Amazon US site. Well done Amazon for publishing this since I am sure it is not going to generate many sales.
