For non UK visitors to this web site, Wirral and Norwich are two towns in the UK. These places might be different in a lot of ways but they have the distinction of being at opposite ends of the eBay league table of the towns using the online auction service. In Norwich 44% of the population use eBay – in Wirral the figure is 6%.
It is mystery why there is such a difference. Have a look at Alan Williamson’s blog where the two of us debate the possible reasons.
