Hopefully this TV programme will make its way to the UK after being screened in Canada and Australia. From the programme synopsis it looks fascinating.
“Sex, Drugs and Middle Age takes an entertaining and revealing look at the history of hormone research and development. It also explores the postwar cultural influences and media images that conspired with marketing and advertising to create the demand for the pill, HRT, TRT and Viagra, to say nothing of the 110 drugs in development for FSD - or "female sexual dysfunction".
This must-see documentary from Canada is about pharmaceuticals and fantasies. Never mind the wrinkle cream, today's big business is hormones. One contributor, a lone voice here, fears society is heading for a fall if we don't embrace wisdom, experience and maturity as qualities and start acquiring the tools to cope with getting older. After all, there's still no pill for death and taxes.”
Looks to me like a fast growing market. Dick Stroud: www.20plus30.com
