At last - a mobile phone designed for older people

The post on 6th June highlight Vodafone’s decision to target older customers. Methinks they are taking a page out of the book of the Japanese mobile phone giant DoCoMo who has introduced raku-raku (or "easy-easy") phones that have larger display fonts and buttons. To increase transmission traffic and revenue, it has also run classes at its retail shops to show older people how to work mobiles, surf on its i-mode internet service and use email.

This is very similar to the approach being adopted by Orange (UK mobile service provider) Dick Stroud: www.20plus30.com
