Make 2005 the year you consider using a blog

I know it is a bit late for New Year resolutions but by now I am sure you have broken a few and can find the space to add this one.

There is a very good article published in today’s Digital Bulletin about the power of blogs as a marketing tool. You can read it on this blog (it is broken into 3 parts with the first section in early Dec).

Any organisation that has a communications strategy must at least consider using a blog, even if they then reject the idea.

What is amusing/annoying is that blogs are some of the best sources of news you can find but Google will not include them in the sites it indexes for its News Search service. Why? Well I guess that since they own Blogger, the service that provides the infrastructure for this blog, they feel they have a conflict of interest. Crazy.

Sorry that this is an “off blog” post. Back to 50+ marketing tomorrow. Dick Stroud www.20plus30.com
