Money CAN make you happy in old age

Mori has recently conducted some research about the attitudes to growing old. There are lots of findings, one of which is shown below.

It appears that 15-24 year olds and those aged between 44-64 have just about the same idea about the relative importance of financial, social and independence in contributing to happiness in old age. In fact the amount of variation is not that great over the range 15-70 years. At 71+ all of the factors seem to take on a similar importance. Strange that.
