YAPS is the first winner of the AAA.
If you are a regular reader of this blog you will know I detest the stream of silly names that get associated with anybody over the age of 50.
OK, I am not daft and do realise that if you want to capture media attention the easiest way is to invent a new name. The latest one to emerge from an outfit called 50plus Online Magazine is YAPS (Youthful, Active, Pre-Seniors).
Well I have decided to coin my own term – AAA (Awful Acronym Award).
From time to time I will bestow the AAA award for the daftest name. It was close run thing and SWANS (24/1/05) nearly won but I can announce that YAPS is the first AAA winner. Dick Stroud www.20plus30.com
