Premium travel is defined as “people who spent more than £800 on travel and accommodation for each week of the longest holiday they had taken in the past 12 months OR those who spent £500 on a shorter break of 4 nights or less.
One of interesting results of the research was to identify that tour operators target people for their one big holiday but once the get these people they don’t necessarily target them again with different types of breaks. This seems a crazy way to go on.
It would have been interesting to have seen the age profile if the definition of premium travel had been increased to £1200+.
