Australia is a fascinating country

This is an interesting bit of research about the relative importance of the regions and metropolitan markets for the 50-plus.

This chart shows how the financial status of the 50-plus in the regions is marginally better than those in the big towns. The report says: The regional growth in the population of baby boomers is up to 20% above the national average and they are, generally, even more affluent in the regional markets than their city-based counterparts – many of whom need to keep working for longer and whose children remain at home well into their 20’s and even early 30’s…… Worth a read.
