Australian’s really are an optimistic bunch

OMD’s research for my book showed how Australians are a really positive bunch.

I missed this announcement when it was first published that showed the results of research undertaken by AXA. Interestingly, but not surprising, it came to exactly the same conclusion.

Overall, 62% of retired people in Britain see their retirement in an enthusiastic light. Of the countries surveyed, only Australia (71%), Canada and New Zealand came higher. On a European basis, the UK tops the league, where in Spain (35%) and Portugal (27%) of retired people have positive attitudes towards their retirement. What a grumpy bunch the Southern Europeans are. Dick Stroud
