Retirement in five easy stages

There is a new report out about retirement. Since it was done as part of a company’s promotional/product launch it should be accompanied by a mandatory health/accuracy warning. Having said that it is worth a look. This is the link to the full report.

As the diagram shows, it divides retirement into five phases, two before and three after retirement.

Whether it is accurate of not is not the case since it provides an interest marketing methodology for thinking about the very long period of time we generically call ‘retirement’.
I thought this was an interesting factlet from the research. Between 2000 and 2004 the number of children over 18 living at home rose by 69 per cent.
