Well done Visitbritain , the publicity machine for getting tourists to the UK, for waking up to the tourist potential of the over-55s.
When you read the press release in more detail you also see they are targeting the 35- to 44-year-old independents, and 45- to 54-year-olds whose grown-up children have left home, along with affluent over-55s.
