Sizzling hot growth companies

To create its list of the “hot” companies in the US , BusinessWeek uses a database of 5,275 public companies with revenues of $50 million to $1.5 billion a year. It dices and slices the numbers, jettisons those where their CEOs are about to spend lengthy periods of time in a penitentiary and comes up with its top 100 companies.

At long last companies who are making a plea for the 50-plus are given their due recognition.

There are those companies riding the wave of the “wrinkle boom” and another group doing a roaring trade with “eldercare”. Want to read more?

“We continue to see an ongoing skewing of the distribution of wealth" to people over 60, says Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Economy.com. "If you cater to aging boomers, you've got a powerful tailwind."
