You might see more businesses like this

How about this for a heart wrenching story. I quote. “Three baby-boomer computer whizzes wanted to figure out the best way to stay in touch with their mothers, who lived in senior housing many miles away. We understood the magnitude of the problem - the loneliness of seniors and our own sense of guilt and frustration at the status quo.”

So what did they do? Set up a company called Family Virtual Visits that provides video conferencing in a "touch-proof, foolproof, cost-efficient and completely trouble-free system".

The company sets up a mini-centre in a care facility with all of the technology and the kids can then have a video chat with aged relative from their own home.

I have no idea if this business will work (I know the technology will). But somehow I think we will see a lot more of these types of business being launched. Dick Stroud.
