Half of the MySpace users are 35 or older, according to comScore Media Metrix's analysis of its U.S. Internet traffic measurements. Only 30 percent are under 25 despite
The 35-54 group has grown to 41% from 32% a year earlier. The 55+ represent 11% of visitors.
The study was based on comScore's regular panels for measuring Internet audiences, rather than MySpace's registration information, where users often lie about their age. The Nielsen/NetRatings numbers show a slightly lower uptake of the 55+.
Methinks the site will not retain its youth appeal when you are just as likely to communicate with your parents (even grandparents) as your own age group. Dick Stroud
