Strategic Name Development

It is rare for blogs to be about an interesting subject and also well constructed and written. Strategic Name Development’s blog meets all of these criteria.

This blog
recently covered a subject that is particularly relevant to 50-plus marketing. We are witnessing a steady morphing of music giants, from the 60s and 70s, into advertising fodder or indeed brand icons in their own right. Teenage heroes maturing into 50-plus style leaders etc etc..

The blog contains some interesting commentary about how Paul McCartney has registered his name as trademark. After his recent marital problems we might see the Paul McCartney guide to writing post-marital pre-nuptials? (Sorry Paul). It will be interesting to see to what extent the McCartney brand will be limited by the Linda McCartney name?

Other legends like Ozzy Osbourne, Gene Simmons and Roger Daltry are all extending their shelf life by starting a post-50s career in the marketing world. I fear this is just the start. Dick Stroud
