How to create slides that rock

The reason for this blog posting is a plea to all people who present using PowerPoint to de-clutter their slides - simplify their messages and make their presentation something that will stop me from gazing at my iPhone and wondering when the coffee break will start. Watching this slideshare presentation is a good starting point.

Maybe it is an age thing but I become less tolerant to jumbled slides that I cannot read - speakers who mumble that I cannot hear who present without any discernible storyline.

I agree with everything in the presentation other than the suggestion about non-standard fonts. The practicalities of running a presentation with fancy fonts on a conference computer that has nothing but Times Roman can be difficult - believe me. Dick Stroud
