Car sales in Europe - the UK did remarkably well

This has nothing to do with demographics. Sometimes you see reported data and you are really surprised.

The car sales between January to December last year for the different European countries have just been released.

The UK expanded (+5.3%).

The German market declined (-2.9%), Spain (-13.4%), France (-13.9%) and Italy (-19.9%).

I would never have guessed these numbers. The UK being the only country market that was in postive territory. Why? Dick Stroud
