Over 50s spend 2.8 hours a day socialising - don't take my word for it.

According to Ipsos, the average amount of time spent socialising online is 3.6 hours/day. NOTE - this figure refers to those who use some type of social networking.

Astonishing.

It gets even more amazing. Those under 35 clock in an average 4.2 hours a day social networking, 35-49 year olds spend an average 3.1 hours daily and those over 50 spend the least amount of time, 2.8 hours a day.

So the 50+ spend two thirds the time socialising as the under-35s. That is still one hell of a lot of time and a lot more than most people would think. Dick Stroud
