Do marketers know that one in three over-60s probably cannot hear what they are saying

One person in three over-60s has life-diminishing hearing loss, but most older adults wait five to 15 years before they seek help.

I wonder how many people who work in the CX business know this statistic? I wonder how many companies have changed how they operate because of this fact - I know the answer to that one (very, very few).

As somebody with hearing problems I know the irritation it causes and how easy it would be for customer facing staff to make life easier for those of us who spend too much of our life saying 'pardon', 'could you say that again'....... Dick Stroud
