50+ marketing in Germany

Germany has Europe's second highest concentration of older consumers, after Italy. Seniors account for a third of the German population, and there is a retiree in more than half of its households.

According to the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), the over-65’s account for 16 per cent of the population -- hold more than a third of the national wealth, with an annual purchasing power of over 20 billion Euro.
