Men can’t be trusted to by their own clothes

The chart below is from a UK research company called Future Foundation and is all about the influence of the other partner on the clothes purchase decision.

What is startling about the analysis, assuming it is right, is how little the influence of the other partner changes by age.

40% of men aged 16-34 say “I decide what to buy”. The proportion at 65% is a couple of percentage points less.

75% of women aged 16-34 say “I decide what to buy”. The proportion at 65+ is a couple of percentage points less.

Nice to know that some things don’t change. Not sure what you do with this information other than to think that the attitudes of different generations may not be as pronounced as we are told or would like to think.
