FT’s supplement “Reinventing Retirement”

In Wednesday’s (18th November) FT there is a supplement called Reinventing Retirement. Needless to say that its opening page has a picture of a car full of snowboarding seniors accompanied by the highly original title “When you’re 64”.

OK, so the FT has demonstrated it is as bad as the rest of the media in its hackneyed old titles and photos. Once you get through this nonsense there are some very good articles to read. The weakest is the one about Marketing. I am convinced there is a standard template that journalists download and then use Word to do a quick ‘search and replace’ with their publication's title. They are all the same and all repeat the same rubbish about declining brand promiscuity and all quote the same people and all bore me senseless!!!

Rant over. Get the supplement, or if you are a FT subscriber read it online. It is worthwhile. Dick Stroud: www.20plus30.com
