Things you don't know about boomer women - but should

The one, of many, areas of knowledge that I lack about the over-50s is the way that women and men’s behaviour diverges as they age. I am very conscious that this happens but have seen little research to support my hunch. I have just read an article that provides a bit more information although the claims are pretty much unsupported by evidence.

These are a few of the conclusions about boomer women (ghastly term). They:

Are the primary purchasers of consumer electronics
Search for enrichment and rejuvenation
Often act as entrepreneurs reinventing their careers
Are smart Web users
Have unique financial needs
Are not all created equal

If any reader knows of any detailed research about the behaviour of over-50s women, please let me know.
