50-plus holidays - niche companies are the way to go

Saga, the grand daddy of companies providing holidays for the over-50s released some research that came to the ground breaking conclusion that: “65% of today’s over-50s would rather be on safari than spending time sewing”. Hey, stop the front page!!

On a more serious note. There are more and more small, niche holiday companies that are targeting the over-50s. Not targeting them directly by age but by providing the types of holidays that appeal to the better-off who want the educuational/cultural/unusal travel experiences.

This is an article about one such holiday company that provides holidays to Greenland. If you don’t read the article do look at this company’s web site.
This is another company I know who specialise in holidays to Mongolia.

I look at both these web sites and think; “that’s the holiday for me”. I suspect there are a few other people like me around. Dick Stroud www.20plus30.com
