Targeting the 18-40s. Is this the start of a trend?

Siemens is launching an email and viral game to support the launch of its new camera phone. The email was sent to an 18- to 40-year-old market and is designed to highlight the dual camera and phone features.

This is the first time I have ever seen marketing’s favorite age group, the 18-34s, extended to the 40. What next, 18-42 maybe even 18-45?
