Who runs the company once the owners retire?

One of the consequences of the aging population is that a lot of people want to sell their companies and retire. These are smallish companies where the owners are still integrally involved in running the show and have to sell to the employees or as a trade sale.

Providing funding and advice to this group of people is an obvious market opportunity and one I have never considered. This article from Australia is a very good summary of the issues and the opportunities. If you are in the financial services industry it is worth reading. Dick Stroud www.20plus30.com
