It is more than bigger buttons and large fonts

Each day I wade through screens of Google alerts about all things connected to the 50-plus, boomers, mature markets, seniors and all things about the aging population. Occasionally I come upon something that is really interesting. This article by Ezra Roizen is one such instance. In it he references his contact with Susan Ayers Walker and her SmartSilvers Alliance who are all about:
Promoting awareness, development and deployment of innovative, consumer friendly products and technology-leveraged services which cater to the unique needs of our expanding senior population, providing independence, mobility and quality of lifestyle within safe, comfortable and familiar home environments.
Do have a look at the site – especially the section that is a blog like list of new technology related developments related to Boomers.

In the same article there is reference to the US finance magazine Forbes and its recent coverage of the 50-plus, titled: How to play the upcoming Boomer boom. Again, I recommend taking a look. It contains lots of the usual stuff but contains an interesting analysis of the companies that are best positioned to take advantage of the aging population. Dick Stroud
