Youthful India confident it can offer a cure for the ailing West

Bombay's Jaslok Hospital already devotes a floor to Gulf patients, some of the 170,000 foreigners flying to India each year for knee, hip, spine, and heart surgery at bargain prices. It is now seeing the first pioneers from the West.

India will, without a shadow of doubt, be a major player in providing health care to Europe, maybe the US as well.

But, it will do a lot more than hip operations and knee joints. India has the opportunity to be a major player in the European retirement/emigration market. It is not a matter of if but when.Dick Stroud
