There is a great article in today’s Observer about the young/old divide.
For anybody with an interest in demographics and the impact of the ageing population it contains nothing new but the journalist (Andrew Rawnsley) is an excellent writer who very succinctly describes the issues.
If you have the chance, it is worth reading the comments that have been posted about the article. These are mainly from the ‘young’ part of the argument. All rather depressing as they demonstrate so little understanding of the economic and demographic issues that are defining the shape of the UK. Unfortunately, this is something they have in common with most of the UK’s politicians. Dick Stroud
